Sustainability

We believe that companies must conduct sustainable business practices and be responsible stewards of the environment while seeking profit only in a manner that leaves the Earth healthy and safe.

At Monarch Kitchen and Bath Centre, each team member is as committed to the environment as they are to you. Leading the way is Monarch president, Neil Samson.

As Chairman of the Environment Task Force for the Ajax/Pickering Board of Trade and Business Outreach Co-ordinator for Durham Sustain Ability (DSA), Neil recognizes the unacceptable amount of waste involved in home renovation projects.

Through their association with Habitat for Humanity and various local businesses interested in the recycling of renovation debris, along with their participation in DSA’s Zero Waste Challenge, the staff at Monarch is on a mission to make the building that houses their showroom the first eco-friendly business complex in Durham.

The staff at Monarch is determined to make a difference. They have successfully completed David Suzuki’s Nature Challenge at Work and were one of the first businesses to join Durham Sustain Ability’s We Have The Power for Business energy conservation program when it was launched in November 2007.
